What We Offer 

The Stoic School of Philosophy offers a course in practical philosophy based on the Meditations of Emperor Marcus Aurelius and specifically his 12 books. The Stoic student attends the 12 lectures and reads the 12 books in the Meditations. The teacher discusses with the student certain paragraphs in each book inserting from time to time excerpts from Seneca and Epictetus. The lectures last for three months and the teacher follows up with the student for the remaining nine months to make sure the student applies the Stoic philosophy in his/her life.

The tuition is $364 (Only money order and certified cheques). Why? The course runs for one year and for everyday the student pays one dollar. On the student's birthday it is free (a gift). The tuition covers the books and the cost of the certificate at the end. Students who want to study but are geographically distant can do the course through correspondence. The teacher will arrange with the student the practical steps for the study by correspondence. Extensions can be extended to students who need more time to finish the course. Stoicism stresses equality among people and promotes respect and honesty. Finally, The Stoic graduate receives a certificate at the end of the course and becomes automatically a friend of the Stoic School.
